Ingredients

  • 1 pound mozzarella sticks
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/4 cup Nashville hot chicken seasoning
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wrap each mozzarella stick with a slice of bacon tightly, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
  • In a shallow dish, mix the flour with some Nashville hot seasoning to enhance the flavor.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs with a splash of water until well combined.
  • Dredge the bacon-wrapped mozzarella sticks in the seasoned flour, then dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully lower the coated mozzarella sticks into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid crowding.
  • Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Once drained, toss the mozzarella sticks in remaining Nashville hot seasoning for an extra kick.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
