Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onions and bell peppers, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Spread the ground beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Spoon the pizza sauce over the beef mixture, spreading it evenly.
Top the sauce with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and then layer the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the pepperoni and cheese.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tater tots.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
