Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for grilling

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bourbon, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Form the beef mixture into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
  • Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side.
  • Flip the patties and add a slice of bacon to each.
  • Top each patty with cheddar cheese, and cover the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove the patties and bacon from the grill, and let them rest for a few minutes.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing the bacon on the patties, followed by the top bun.
