Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bourbon, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper.
Form the beef mixture into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side.
Flip the patties and add a slice of bacon to each.
Top each patty with cheddar cheese, and cover the grill for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the patties and bacon from the grill, and let them rest for a few minutes.
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.
Assemble the burgers by placing the bacon on the patties, followed by the top bun.
