Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  • Gently fold in the chopped strawberries until evenly distributed.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick, then cut it into strips.
  • Take each strip and roll it up tightly from one end to the other.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving space between each one for rising.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  • Allow the rolls to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
