Method
- Prepare the caramel sauce by heating sugar and water.
- Pour the caramel into the base of the baking dish and allow it to cool.
- Mix the pudding ingredients: milk, eggs, and vanilla.
- Pour the pudding mixture over the cooled caramel.
- Prepare the cake batter by creaming butter and sugar, then adding dry ingredients.
- Spread the cake batter on top of the pudding mixture.
- Bake the dish in the oven until both the pudding and cake are set.
- Let it cool and then invert onto a serving plate.
