Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  • Stir in the sugar and mix until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before adding flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla.
