Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  • Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Arrange the marinated chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Pour any remaining marinade over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crisp.
  • Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
