Festive Cranberry Meatballs for Holiday Gatherings

Quick Christmas Cranberry Meatballs made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey or beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce canned or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey or beef with breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the cranberry sauce mixture.
  6. Heat the cranberry sauce mixture over medium heat until warmed through.
  7. Once the meatballs are baked, transfer them to the saucepan and gently coat them in sauce.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
