Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup diced apples preferably Granny Smith
  • 1 cup caramel bits

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples and caramel bits gently into the dough.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
