Delightful Thanksgiving Trifle for Your Table

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound pound cake cubed
  • 2 cups vanilla custard
  • 2 cups mixed berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed gingersnap cookies
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare the vanilla custard according to package instructions or from scratch.
  2. Cube the pound cake into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Layer the ingredients in a large trifle dish or individual cups, starting with a layer of pound cake.
  4. Add a layer of vanilla custard over the pound cake.
  5. Sprinkle a layer of mixed berries on top of the custard.
  6. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
  7. Crush gingersnap cookies and sprinkle on top of the whipped cream.
  8. Drizzle with maple syrup if desired and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
