Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup holiday-themed sprinkles
  • 1 batch of cream cheese frosting

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  • In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Start and end with the flour mixture.
  • Fill the cupcake liners about two-thirds full with the batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Once cooled, frost the cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and decorate with holiday sprinkles.
