Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips mix of semi-sweet and milk
  • 1 cup nuts walnuts, pecans, or your choice, chopped
  • 1 cup dried fruit cranberries or raisins, chopped
  • 1 cup oats rolled

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, and oats until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them a few inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the centers look slightly underbaked.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
