Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips mix of semi-sweet and milk
  • 1 cup nuts walnuts, pecans, or your choice, chopped
  • 1 cup dried fruit cranberries or raisins, chopped
  • 1 cup oats rolled

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, and oats until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them a few inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the centers look slightly underbaked.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
