In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and melted butter until combined.
Pour the batter over the apple mixture, spreading it gently.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cobbler to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
