Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips gently.
  • Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the tops look slightly glossy.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
