Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips gently.
  7. Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the tops look slightly glossy.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
