  • 36 peppermint Oreos
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 12 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • Sprinkles or crushed candy canes for garnish

Method
 

  1. Crush the peppermint Oreos into fine crumbs.
  2. Mix the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese.
  3. Chill the mixture to firm it up.
  4. Form small balls from the mixture.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate for coating.
  6. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate.
  7. Garnish with sprinkles or crushed candy canes.
  8. Chill the coated truffles until the chocolate hardens.
