Method
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add whole wheat pasta to the boiling water.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the oil.
- Stir in broccoli florets and vegetable broth.
- Cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Drain the cooked pasta and add to the broccoli mixture.
- Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
