- 8 oz whole wheat pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- Salt to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese optional
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add whole wheat pasta to the boiling water.
In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the oil.
Stir in broccoli florets and vegetable broth.
Cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
Drain the cooked pasta and add to the broccoli mixture.
Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
