Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz whole wheat pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add whole wheat pasta to the boiling water.
  3. In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the oil.
  5. Stir in broccoli florets and vegetable broth.
  6. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
  7. Drain the cooked pasta and add to the broccoli mixture.
  8. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  9. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
