- 2 chicken breasts about 1 lb
- 8 oz pasta penne or fettuccine
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish optional
Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add chicken breasts.
Remove chicken from skillet and let it rest before slicing.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Pour in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning, stirring well.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, mixing until well combined.
Stir in shredded mozzarella until melted and creamy.
Slice the rested chicken and place on top of the pasta before serving.
