Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each tortilla for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until lightly golden. Keep warm in a towel.
In the same skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium. Add ground beef or turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.
Stir in taco seasoning, followed by a splash of water to help the spices adhere. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
Assemble the tacos by placing the meat mixture on each tortilla. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, cilantro, and avocado slices.
Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
