Decadent Touchdown Brownies for Game Day Treats

Touchdown Brownies made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated and brown sugars until well blended.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
