  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Prepare the springform pan.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients.
  4. Blend the wet ingredients.
  5. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
  6. Add food coloring and vinegar.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for about 50-60 minutes.
  9. Cool the cheesecake gradually.
  10. Prepare the cream cheese frosting.
  11. Spread frosting on cooled cheesecake.
  12. Chill before serving.
