Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix 1 ounce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4-6 French rolls or hoagie buns
  • Sliced provolone cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare the beef roast and season it.
  2. Sear the roast (optional).
  3. Place the roast in the crock pot.
  4. Add broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  6. Check for doneness and shred the beef.
  7. Prepare the French rolls and toast if desired.
  8. Assemble the sandwiches and serve with au jus.
