  • 1 lb chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup orange juice fresh-squeezed
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • Oil for frying vegetable or peanut
  • Sesame seeds for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare the chicken coating mixture.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan or pot.
  4. Fry the chicken in batches.
  5. Prepare the orange sauce in a separate saucepan.
  6. Combine the cooked chicken with the orange sauce.
  7. Serve with a garnish of sesame seeds.
