- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickles thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon dill weed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer half of the cheese, followed by the sliced dill pickles, dill weed, and the remaining cheese.
Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the pan.
Cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Allow the sandwich to cool for a minute before slicing in half.
