Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon dill weed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer half of the cheese, followed by the sliced dill pickles, dill weed, and the remaining cheese.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the pan.
  • Cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Allow the sandwich to cool for a minute before slicing in half.
