Method
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
- Transfer the sausage mixture to the slow cooker.
- Add diced potatoes, chicken broth, and red pepper flakes to the slow cooker.
- Set the slow cooker on low and cook for 6-8 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the chopped kale.
- Stir in the heavy cream before serving.
- Taste and adjust the seasonings with salt and pepper as needed.
