Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese grated
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and whisk in the flour to create a roux.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk and continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
  • Stir in the grated cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cheese sauce, and mix well.
