Jalapeño Popper Football Cheese Ball made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 2-3 fresh jalapeños finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips
  • 1 red bell pepper for decoration

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and green onions.
  2. Stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined, adjusting seasoning if needed.
  3. Shape the mixture into a football shape, pressing firmly to ensure it holds together.
  4. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  5. While the cheese ball is chilling, crush the tortilla chips in a zip-top bag until fine and set aside.
  6. Once the cheese ball has chilled, remove it from the fridge and carefully unwrap.
  7. Roll the cheese ball in crushed tortilla chips, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  8. Use strips of red bell pepper to create laces on the cheese ball to resemble a football.
  9. Serve immediately with a variety of crackers and fresh veggies for dipping.
