Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups pecans roughly chopped
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie pan.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and melted butter until fully combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans gently until they are evenly coated.
  7. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  9. Let the pie cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours before serving.
