Ingredients

2 cups cooked turkey breast, sliced or shredded

12 mini sandwich rolls or dinner rolls

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons mustard (optional)

6 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese, cut in halves

1 cup lettuce leaves (optional)

1/2 cup cranberry sauce (optional, for a sweet touch)

Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions

Slice the mini rolls in half and lightly toast them if desired.

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and mustard (if using) and spread a thin layer on the inside of each roll.

Layer turkey evenly onto the bottom halves of the rolls.

Place half a slice of cheese over the turkey on each roll.

Add lettuce and a small spoonful of cranberry sauce if desired.

Close the sandwiches with the top half of the rolls and press down gently.

Serve cold or warm them slightly in the oven (at 300°F for about 5–7 minutes) until the cheese softens.
