2 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

2 cups chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a pot, sauté onion and garlic until soft.

Stir in crushed tomatoes and broth, bring to a simmer.

Cook 15 minutes, then blend until smooth.

Stir in cream, basil, salt, and pepper.

Simmer 5 more minutes before serving.
