Brown Butter Sugar Cookies – Chewy, Nutty, and Irresistible Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt


Instructions

 

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and nutty. Cool slightly.

  2. Beat browned butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, yolk, and vanilla.

  3. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until dough forms.

  4. Roll into balls, place on baking sheet, and bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
